How It Works

Atlanta Flying Club aircraft are not available to the general public. Only members and Club approved instructors providing instruction to members are permitted to fly Club aircraft.

  • Renter’s Insurance is not required ($300 annual savings).

  • All aircraft rates are dry (fuel excluded) so members can select the best fuel rates.

  • Aircraft management and maintenance is included.

Membership Rates

Initiation Fee: $350

Monthly Dues: $175

Dry Rate: Cherokee Six - $170 / Archers - $100-$130

Monthly dues include access to the aircraft and cover various fixed costs related to the aircraft itself (maintenance, insurance, etc.) and do not include any flying hours. There is no contract commitment and membership is on a month-to-month basis, with dues payable on the 1st of each month.

Archer Minimum PIC Requirements*:

  • Private Pilot Certificate or higher

  • Complete aircraft specific checkout with Club approved CFI

*Student pilots may fly the aircraft with a Club approved CFI.

Cherokee Six Minimum PIC Requirements:

  • Private Pilot Certificate or higher

  • Instrument Rating

  • 250 hours Total Time in Fixed Wing Aircraft

  • Complete aircraft specific checkout with Club approved CFI

Scheduling Guidelines:

  • One (1) pending reservation that includes a weekend or holiday is permitted at any given time. A second reservation which includes a weekend day or holiday may be entered only after the first weekend or holiday reservation is flown or cancelled.

  • Three (3) pending weekday reservations are permitted at any given time. A fourth reservation which includes a weekday may be entered only after the first weekday reservation is flown or cancelled.

  • Same day exception - if an aircraft is available for the current day, a member may schedule it for that day without respect to the 1 weekend or 3 weekday reservation requirements.

  • All members are encouraged to submit stand-by reservations, and in the case of a cancelled flight, they will be notified of the aircraft’s availability.

  • No overnight minimums for trips.

A New Way To Fly In Georgia
